It's official! The Moto X Pure Edition, also known as the Moto X Style, will be launched this coming September.

In an earlier tweet which has been deleted from its official account, Motorola Mobility posted a photo of the upcoming phone with the caption. "On Sept. 3, you'll see what real love is like. Choose #MotoX for a more powerful connection."

Gizmodo reported that the third generation Moto X device is set to come with other powerful Android devices in the market. It is believed to cost around $400.

In discussing its features, The Verge said that the Moto X Pure Edition will sport a 5.7-inch Quad HD display and a beast 21-megapixel camera.

It also added that the handset is also capable of charging faster than its competitors in the market.

"Users can also expand the built-in storage thanks to support for microSD cards. And as always, customization through Moto Maker remains a big draw; this year's model offers the most personalization options yet," The Verge added in its report.

In addition, GSM Arena said that the upcoming phone will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset and a hexacore CPU. It's RAM is said to be at 3GB and with a 3,000 mAh battery. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop is expected to run the device.

In a separate Gizmodo hands-on review, it was noted that the new phone has all the upgrades needed by the fans and users, like "the better quad HD display, better rear camera with a front-facing selfie flash, and just an all around better look and feel."

As for its size, the same report added the display is stretched which makes the device look longer though it has the same width as its predecessor.

"Thanks to thin bezels on both the top and the size, the Moto X Style is easily the most hand-friendly "Big" phone. It's what the Nexus 6 should have been," added Gizmodo.

When it becomes available on September, the Moto X Pure Edition will reportedly work on any of the four big mobile carriers in the United States.

"Motorola has also promised that it will get priority treatment whenever new Android software updates are released," added The Verge.

The phone is expected to be sold on Motorola's online store, retail outlets and other seller partners like Amazon and Best Buy.

Engadget said that with the release of the new Moto X, the mobile phone company again won the "best cheap phone" recognition for offering this affordable yet powerful handset to the public.
