The Arrow is a hooded vigilante who took it upon himself to save his city. However, before Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen decided to don his green hood, he was just another rich playboy with women hanging on his arm.

Oliver has been haunted by flashbacks since the beginning of the the series - he should be, as it also provides insight as to what happened in the five years he was gone - and it seems like viewers are going to meet another one of the women he got involved with.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Elysia Rotaru has been cast as another of Oliver's love interest in the upcoming season.

Don't freak out; producer Marc Guggenheim made it clear that Oliver and Felicity are very much still together as of the first episode in the next season.

He shared, "Oliver is gonna have a love interest in the past that will serve as a parallel or potentially a contrast to his love affair with Felicity in the present."

Ollie isn't the only one who gets a new love interest, by the way. TV Line reported that in the upcoming season, Thea will also have another lad, and the show already cast "Enlisted" actor Parker Young as Alex Davis, the man who caught her eye.

The outlet reported that David will be Ollie's "political consultant". For those less familiar about the comic books, there was a storyline where Oliver became mayor of Starling.

In other casting news, The Wrap reported that "Hannibal" actress Rutina Wesley will also be part of the series in a multi-episode arc, but no details have been disclosed about her character.

Other appearances to look forward to are the villains, as the show seems to be ramping up on the bad guys.

Neal McDonough has been cast as Damien Darhk, Echo Kellum as Mister Terrific, JR Bourne as Double Down, and Jeri Ryan as a new character named Jessica Danforth.

Besides all these new characters, what else can "Arrow" fans expect at next season's premiere? Guggenheim teased, "We have a really great surprise for the season premiere for the flashbacks, and it's made talking about the flashbacks very difficult."

He added, "We pick up basically in real time. It's been a number of months later since the last flashback. Oliver is in Coast City, as eagle-eyed viewers noted when he boarded the boat at the end of season 3."

"Arrow" returns at 8PM ET, Wednesday, October 7 on The CW.
