Award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence took a break from shooting her latest film, "X-Men: Apocalypse" to visit sick kids at a hospital in Montreal.

According to The Star, the 24-year-old actress spent some quality time with some "very special children" at the Shriners Hospital for Children on Friday during her time off of filming the latest X-Men flick scheduled to hit the silver screen next year.

During her stay at the medical facility which mostly caters children who suffer from burn injuries, neuromusculoskeletal conditions, and other conditions that require special healthcare, Lawrence posed for pictures with smiling patients and hospital staff.

She was even caught on camera signing a young boy's cast.

Thrilled at the surprise visit, the hospital posted their patients' entire experience with the Hollywood star in their Facebook profile.

"A very special visitor stopped by our Canada hospital today. Jennifer Lawrence is in Montreal filming a new movie and she made time to visit some of our ‪#‎ShrinersCanada kids and staff. Everyone had a great time!" the post read.

Followers of the hospital over Twitter were also able to see the photos, captioned: "You never know who might visit @ShrinersCanada! Today, Jennifer Lawrence took time to see children at the hospital!"

Lawrence, who has been dubbed 'America's sweetheart,' was also lauded by netizens, saying how generous and kind-hearted she is.

"What a lovely thing to do! Miss Lawrence you put smiles on lots of faces today..." Facebook user Catherine Fries wrote.

Another Facebook user named John Barker even called her an "awesome woman" since she never forgets to share her blessings despite her current status.

She began her acting career after she was discovered in New York by a stranger who called her mother up to ask if the young Jennifer would like to do a screen test.

After several commercial appearances for MTV, she debuted on the big screen with Lena Olin in the suspense-thriller "Devil You Know."

She then played a couple of small roles after and later landed a part on the TBS TV series "The Bill Engvall Show" where she starred for three seasons.

She also starred in the David O. Russell-helmed "Silver Linings Playbook" alongside Bradley Cooper as the inventor Joy Mangano.
