Anna Kendrick just cannot let her fans down! After the success of "Pitch Perfect 2" you would think that it's the end of the franchise, at least, the end of Anna Kendrick's stint in it. However, it seems that Universal Pictures is set to have at least one more film about the Barden Bellas, which will be released on July 21, 2017.

MTV noted that the news came unexpectedly since Kendrick's character, Beca Mitchell, has already graduated, leaving the Bellas in the capable hands of Hailee Steinfeld's character.

Kendrick will be back for at least another aca-tastic movie, as will Rebel Wilson. The news was confirmed by Kendrick herself via Instagram, captioning a selfie with "Happening #3".

Wilson also confirmed the news (again) on Twitter.

Elizabeth Banks, her husband Max Handelman, and Paul Brooks will be returning to produce the third installment. Even though Banks helmed the latest release, it is still unknown if she will be directing the third movie. Meanwhile, Kay Cannon, who worked on the script for the first two films, is in early talks to pen "Pitch Perfect 3."

Updates from The Hollywood Reporter revealed that while the next film is not that far away, there is not much competition for "Pitch Perfect 3" in cinemas on the set opening weekend as of the moment, considering that there is only one other fillm slated for release on the same date: a yet-to-be-titled DreamWorks Animation project.

Stars Kendrick and Wilson, however, have to get their schedule organized for the next installment of the musical-centered film. Kendrick will be appearing in "The Accountant" with Ben Affleck,"Mr. Right" with Sam Rockwell, as well as a Fox Searchlight film titled "Table 19."

Wilson, on the other hand, is going to appear on spy spoof "Grimsby" and on an ensemble film, "How to be Single." She is also part of the voice cast of "Kung Fu Panda 3."

The storyline for the next installment is yet to be announced, including the involvement of Brittany Snow, Skylar Astin, Hailee Steinfeld, and Adam DeVine.
