Jennifer Lopez will perform in Las Vegas early next year.

After teasing the huge news on her official Instagram page earlier, the 45-year-old singer announced that she is getting a residency at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino's AXIS Theater beginning on January 20, 2016, E! News reported.

"I've been preparing for this moment my entire life," Lopez said in a statement, as reported by E! News. "The show is going to be a multifaceted high energy Jenny from the Block party, mixing all aspects of what my fans and I love -- Dance, Hip Hop, Latin and Pop. It's going to be the show I've always dreamt of creating."

The Latina beauty has dates scheduled for January, February, May, and June of 2016. Tickets for the first 20 performances will go on sale to the public on Saturday, May 16, Caesars.com wrote in a press release.

Listed below are the announced dates for Lopez's Las Vegas residency, as obtained from Caesars.com.

In the pressroom for the Season 14 finale of "American Idol" on Tuesday, Lopez talked more about her brand new performance gig, saying that the Las Vegas gig was something she looked forward to for so long.

"Touring is a different animal and to be in one place and really build a show exactly how I've always imagined, I feel like I've been waiting for this moment my whole life," she explained, as quoted by Billboard.

Rumors about Lopez's artist residency started going around back in October when "initial conversations" began, E! News wrote. Other famous singers who also had performances in Las Vegas are Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, Shania Twain, Céline Dion, and Olivia Newton-John.

With "American Idol" set to begin its final season in January, which Lopez currently serves as one of the judges, it's expected that the "Dance Again" singer can now commit to lengthy engagements similar to her Las Vegas gig. Lopez also released her latest album titled "A.K.A." in June, LA Times.

"I'm sad about the show ending of course," she said of "American Idol" ending its 15-season run, Billboard reported. "Do I believe it's really ending? I have not come to terms with that yet. it might not. You never know these things? But it's sad to hear that kind of news. I'm glad that we have another year - that we get to have a farewell season, if that is the case and it will be over next year."
