It's sad news for all the "Hellblazers" out there. "Constantine", the DC Comics-based TV series, would be without a home, at least for a while, as NBC refused to broadcast the show after its initial season, ComingSoon.net reports.

"Constantine" stars Matt Ryan, and was created and written by Daniel Cerone, David S. Goyer, and Mark Verheiden. The show is produced by Bonanza Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

The show earned some loyal following after its rookie-season run of just 13 episodes. The show also stars Angélica Celaya, Harold Perrineau, and Charles Halford.

With regards to the show's future, Deadline reported about a possibility of the TV series to be broadcasted by Fox. "I hear there could be a future for the show, even a potential broadcast play - what do you think of this monster mash: Lucifer, Frankenstein and Constantine under one roof?!" Nellie Andreeva of Deadline said.

Fox was definitely the "one roof" being alluded to with the network already eyeing to air the new series "The Frankenstein Code" and the pilot for DC Comics' "Lucifer".

Deadline also notes that there was a rumor citing Syfy, a corporate sibling of NBC, as one of those cable channels interested in airing the show. The linkup, however, was deemed unlikely because of financial constraints brought about by the budget of "Constantine" which is more than what these cable channels can afford, according to ign.com.

In the recent weeks, NBC and Warner Bros. refused to reveal whether the TV series and the network's relationship has finally come to an end. This is amid reports that the network already stop ordering more episodes of the show. "Constantine" producers tried to salvage whatever hopes they have for the show to continue airing on NBC by pitching their ideas for season 2, says ign.

Daniel Cerone, the executive producer of "Constantine", took to Twitter the real score between the TV show and NBC.

NBC has also given the pink slip to five other TV series. "'State of Affairs', 'Constantine', 'Marry Me', 'One Big Happy' and 'About a Boy' will not live to see another season," according to the Hollywood Reporter. The network is going to replace the outgoing batch with a set of four new series, none of which is comic-book based, making NBC the only broadcast network without one.
