After sustaining a rotator cuff injury during his training for his fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr., Manny Pacquiao seems to be all well when he posed for a selfie after his successful surgery.

TMZ said Pacquiao underwent surgery to repair his right shoulder on Wednesday night in Los Angeles. A few hours after the operation, the Filipino champ posted a photo on Instagram of him and his wife Jinkee, with smiles written all over their faces.

"Thank you Lord for the successful surgery in my right shoulder. Thank you babe for being there beside me. Thank you to my Dr. Neal Elattrache and his group for taking care of me. God is great!" Pacquiao wrote on the photo's caption. He also cited a Bible verse saying "cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you."

It seems the boxer is doing well despite his loss against the undefeated American fighter and him facing lawsuits for not disclosing his injury weeks before the fight.

Boxing Insider quoted Pacquiao's publicist Fred Sternburg, who said that Pacquiao's surgeon "could not be more pleased with the results and fully expects Manny to make a full recovery and be back in the ring."

Earlier, Pacquiao's camp blamed the shoulder condition for the fighter's mediocre performance inside the ring against Mayweather. Independent explained that Top Rank CEO Bob Arum and the Pacquiao team had arranged for a pain reliever shot for the boxer prior to the fight but was not allowed by the Nevada Athletic Commission, noting that they had no idea about the injury until a few hours before the bout.

An MRI later confirmed the injury which Pacquiao claimed became worse when he was landing combinations on Mayweather.

"We felt that the work that was done on the shoulder during training would give him [Pacquiao] the opportunity to use the right hand. We were disappointed when in the third round the injury kicked up again, but this is always the case with sports," Arum said as quoted by the Independent.

The Top Rank CEO said Pacquiao "fought a courageous fight" given the circumstances. "I'm very proud of what he accomplished tonight," he added.

Asked about the possibility of a rematch, Arum told Boxing Insider that it is too early to tell since both camps have not yet expressed intention to have it done. "No one's ready to make any commitments to a rematch. Manny was operated on. We'll see how he does with his rehab and when he can get back in the gym and train," he added.

With his shoulder injury solved, will Pacquiao fight again after his recovery or will he hang his gloves after the devastating loss to "The Money?"
