One thing that has been apparent from the beginning of "Batman v Superman" is the fact that the two heroes will go head to head against each other in the film. (Who do you think will win that fight?) It has also been unveiled a few months back that Henry Cavill, who will be reprising his role as the Man of Steel, will star next to Ben Affleck's Dark Knight, along with Amy Adams as Lois Lane, and Gal Gadot and Jason Momoa as Wonder Woman and Aquaman, respectively.

However, there are more things to know before the film debuts in theaters next year, including the villain that the lot will be fighting against. According to the Christian Post, the iconic Red Hood, is set to be introduced in the film.

Although producers didn't intend for the film to be a standalone, audiences can expect a bunch of new villains in the franchise, and Red Hood is among them.

The character, according to Screen Rant, is said to be Jason Todd, a man whom the Dark Knight took as a replacement for Robin, when Dick Grayson left the crime-fighting pair.

"Batman v Superman" will reportedly address Joker's murder attempt on Todd. He survived the ordeal but Todd was not happy when he learned that Batman was not very keen on avenging him.

More production details

The film's soundtrack, as noted on Master Herald, will also include tracks from Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL. Several entertainment news outlets have reported that the official trailer will be out on May 15, attached to "Mad Max: Fury Road," and Junkie XL confirmed via Twitter that he and Zimmer mixed the trailer of the franchise. This is surprising, considering that trailers usually don't feature original music, but the pair worked on the score as the film was reportedly being edited.

Cavill supports Affleck

While many are doubting how Affleck will portray Bruce Wayne AKA Batman, it seems that Henry Cavill is supportive of his co-star all the way, telling Total Film just recently that he thinks Affleck is a great contribution to the series. He said, "as a filmmaker, he's got his own style, you know. He's not copying anyone else. And he's also sort of being tenacious in his career. He's had ups followed by downs and now he's very up again, and I think that requires and shows a very special strength of character. And it's something which I enjoy working with because jobs like this require strength of character, they require a dedication to the work and belief in oneself. And Ben has that, clearly."

"Batman v Superman" is definitely getting a lot of buzz. However, do you think this will do well in the box office?
