Salma Hayek proves her love for animals by owning 50 pets.

On Friday, April 4, the movie star posted a video on her official Instagram page for her 30,000 followers. The recording showed the "Everly" actress lounging on her bed with two dogs and a pair of parrots perched on her shoulder. Watch the clip here.

Greeting the camera, Hayek exclaimed while pointing to her birds and dogs, "Good morning! This is Jaja, Toto, Blue, and Diva." She was wearing pajamas with peace signs printed on it, while her face was devoid of make-up, Daily Mail pointed out.

Hayek, now 48 years old, was always vocal about her love for adopting unsheltered animals. In an interview on Ellen DeGeneres' talk show in October 2013, she revealed the number of pets she currently owns.

"I have five horses, four alpacas, one cat, eight dogs, one hamster, five parrots, two fish, I'm sure I'm forgetting something," Hayek said, as quoted by Daily Mail. She also added that she has rabbits, turkeys, and 20 chickens.

Back in October 2012, the actress also revealed to Conan O'Brien that she wanted to add a hamster to her pets, but her billionaire husband, François-Henri Pinault, was skeptical about the matter, the news outlet reported.

"Some of those animals were there before he arrived," she explained, as reported by Daily Mail. "I only had my animals back then and I'm not going to get rid of any of them now I've found love. My animals are lovely. I just keep adding more."

Salma Hayek in Feminism Issue

Last March, Hayek has backtracked on her previous statement indicating that she is not a feminist.

When asked what feminism means to her in an interview with The Guardian, Hayek said, "I am a feminist because I love women and I am ready to fight for women. I am a feminist because I am proud to be a woman, and I am passionate about making the world a better place for women. I am a feminist because a lot of amazing women have made me the woman I am today."

She added, "But -- it should not be just because I am a woman. It should be a reflex, if someone else is being hurt, to help. It shouldn't have to be because you are being a victim too."

Hayek came under fire for her statement at the Make Equality Reality event last November, Fox News Latino reported. In the occasion where she received the Equality Now award, she explained, "If men were going through the things women are going through today, I would be fighting for them with just as much passion. I believe in equality."
