This April, video game developer Bungie is reportedly planning to announce the release date for the expansion of "Destiny" dubbed House of Wolves.

Bungie community manager David Dague said in a statement published on the company's official website that the team is "really looking forward" to talk about it.

"This month, there will come a day when we'll reveal a release date for the trials that await you, with a whole reef of details soon to follow - but it is not this day," he added.

Cinema Blend explained that when Dague mentioned "reef", he may be referring to the rumor that they will be adding "a new social area set in the Reef" though Bungie has not yet confirmed or denied this.

Prior to the House of Wolves release, Cinema Blend suggested that Bungie needs to first implement Update 1.1.2. which is reportedly the last major patch before Wolves.

VG247 said that with the coming patch, the developer plans to improve boss encounters which is admittedly a "complex" task to do.

"For example, we had a bug where players weren't doing damage to Minotaurs with the Relic shield. Turns out that the complicated hit test we use to detect a melee hit just missed the combatant because of the long-legged shape of its body. Some of these bugs were truly baffling, but we dug deep and went to great lengths to improve things," engineer Sean Chan added in the company's update announcement.

Meanwhile for the strikes, Bungie will reportedy create "a better standard for their difficulty," noting a discovery that some strikes are harder to complete compared to others.

"The Cerberus Vae III Strike is arguably the longest and hardest Strike in the game. It has one the lowest completion rates of any of the Strikes. Even when players complete it successfully, it takes longer than almost any other Strike activity at 27 minutes on Normal difficulty. When it's appeared as the Nightfall, it's actually had the lowest completion rate of any Strike activity in the game," said user research lead John Hopson.

In his discussion, Hopson added that the Dust Palace Strike is not considered a hard one but it takes longer to complete compared to the average Strike which takes 23 minutes on "normal difficulty."

With the coming expansion, Bungie will also reportedly address the issue of "idle and AFK players" by restricting a small number of players from matchmaking.

VG247 said the change will apply to those players considered "most toxic," though the restrictions will only be temporary and will "apply to the activities where they were found idling."

"This won't apply to anyone who goes idle for a few seconds. Rather, it's aimed at players who rarely play their role and rely on idling too much when playing those activities," VG247 added.
