The fifth installment of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise will not be out in theaters until July 7, 2017. Various reports, however, are already circulating the Internet for the latest buzz on the highly anticipated film. Listed below are the news roundups about Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales."

Cast and Production Team

As expected, Johnny Depp will once again reprise his role as the trickster pirate, Captain Jack Sparrow. Geoffrey Rush, Kevin R. McNally, and Stephen Graham are also back to their respective roles, Cinema Blend wrote. New cast members include "Maleficent" star Brenton Thwaites, Javier Bardem of "Skyfall," Golshifteh Farahani, and "The Maze Runner" star Kaya Scodelario as the lead actress.

The movie is directed by Espen Sandberg and Joachim Ronning, with Jerry Bruckheimer producing, and Jeff Nathanson as the screenplay writer, Variety wrote.

Orlando Bloom, who portrayed Will Turner in past "Pirates of the Caribbean" films, revealed that he is still in negotiations to reprise his role. Bloom first expressed interest on the movie back in September, according to IGN.

"There have certainly been some discussions about it and I'm open to it," the actor told IGN. "That whole experience working with Johnny [Depp] and (director) Gore (Verbinski) was really amazing for me. I had a great time working with Johnny, one of the reasons I jumped at the opportunity was because Johnny was involved."

Plot Spoilers

"Dead Men Tell No Tales" will see Jack Sparrow "targeted by the villainous Captain Salazar (Bardem) as Sparrow searches for Poseidon's trident in hopes of fending off 'deadly ghost pirates,'" Variety wrote. Thwaites' character, meanwhile, is a British soldier who will team up with the notorious bandit, The Daily Telegraph noted.

A batch of photos has also been revealed from the set of the fifth film located in Australia. The set of pictures came from Andrew Thompson, a reader on the website, Coming Soon. The production was located at the Gold Coast Hinterland at Queensland, Australia, where most of the shooting takes place, according to Cinema Blend.

Several reports have claimed that shooting for "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" has been delayed for numerous reasons. Cinema Blend wrote that production was interrupted "when a man wearing pirate regalia came on to the set waving a knife around." Just recently, Depp injured his right hand and flew back to the United States to undergo surgery.

According to a report from Daily Mail, the 51-year-old actor hurt his hand while go-karting at a private track with five-time MotoGP world champion Mick Doohan. A short delay should be expected, but Depp's two-week absence "will only minimally affect production as other scenes are filmed."

Fans of the franchise would have to wait a long time for a sneak peek of "Dead Men Tell No Tales." In the meantime, watch the video below for the latest buzz about the upcoming film.
