When Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) launched the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in September, speculations over the iPhone 6s eventually came after.

For one, the device is thought to be a refresh of the 4.7-inch standard flagship, while the iPhone 7, pegged to arrive with waterproofing abilities, is believed to be a revamped iPhone 6 Plus.

While it's no surprise that Apple is known for upgrading its flagships through an -s naming scheme, the iPhone 6s remains to be a product churned in the rumor mills.

Grapevine followers would know that the iPhone 6s and iPhone 7 are both expected to arrive this year. However, as previously reported, the latter may not release until 2016.

As told by Macworld, the iPhone 6s "most likely" arrives in September. This follows the Cupertino giant's conventional launching pattern, which usually falls in the same month.

On top of expected colors such as silver, gold and space gray, Macworld cited the appearance of a new pink model. The render is crafted by Martin Hajek.

The unit is far from the iPhone 5c's vibrant-kind-of pink, but rather, it looks to be the iPhone version of the rose gold Apple Watch. At this point, it is no news that the wearable's Edition collection will start selling at $10,000.

Citing Hajek's render, International Business Times is convinced that the golden Apple Watch makes an elegant partner. The outlet wrote, "Indeed, the gold-bathed 6S is a perfect match... the two devices exude elegance and simplicity."

Another interesting rumor cited by Macworld is the inclusion of Force Touch technology. For those who haven't heard, this feature is present in Apple's latest MacBook. New gestures are certainly expected.

From a recent review, AppleInsider praised the MacBook's Force Touch for having an adjustable haptic feedback. The source commented, "Apple's implementation is just better than anything we've ever tried, and it clearly represents the next great leap for Apple's software experience."

The iPhone 6s is purported to pack an A9 processor, a 20.7-megapixel IMX230 Exmor sensor and Touch ID, Trusted Reviews noted. The source also mentioned contrary rumors, which claimed of the possible retaining of an 8 MP camera.

In another article, IBT cited reports, which placed the iPhone 6s at a more affordable price than the current flagship. At present, the iPhone 6 starts from $199.

We're still taking this with a pinch of salt, but are you convinced that Apple's releasing a luxury version of the iPhone 6s? We'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
