The last episode of CW's "The Flash" was a roller coaster ride. If you did not feel outraged about Cisco's death, you're probably one of the metahumans they should have trapped in the basement of STAR Labs.

However, this week's episode is just the beginning of the many more twists in store before the season ends, and according to the International Business Times, upcoming episodes will reveal more time travel issues and will dig deeper into the working mind of Dr. Harrison Wells.

Spoilers ahead, so read at your own risk:

The most talked about event for this week's episode is when Dr. Wells admitted that he came from the distant future. He was Eobard Thawne, and he travelled back in time to kill Barry Allen (but killed Nora instead). After claiming that Cisco has been dead for centuries anyway, Wells shockingly killed him in cold blood.

Oh, and Wells admitted to being related to Eddie Thawne, and it seems that more about this will be revealed in the upcoming episodes.

In an interview with TV Line, Tom Cavanaugh, who plays Wells, said about his character, "Wells killed a dead guy. It's not a big deal. But, there's a genuine affection between them. That is not fake. In the current time, Thawne is truly invested, truly cares about Cisco, and is truly impressed by him. When we saw the two of them meet, he was on his side."

He also went on to defend his character. "There's a protégé/mentorship thing happening. There's genuine affection when he says, 'You've shown me what it's like to have a son,' he's not saying it idly. He means it. At the same time, the guy has gotta get home."

With Barry travelling through time and breaking the space time continuum in the previous episode, Cisco will live through the rest of the season. "The Flash" producer Andrew Kreisberg hinted to TV Line that Cisco will explore "how certain events occur that prevent Cisco from following along the same trajectory."

Comic Book noted that the full synopsis for Episode 16: "Rogue Time" reads, "The Flash (Grant Gustin) learns that Captain Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller) and Heat Wave (guest star Dominic Purcell) have returned to Central City. This time Snart has brought along his baby sister Lisa (guest star Peyton List) to help wreak havoc on the city. John Behring directed the episode with story by Grainne Godfree and teleplay by Brooke Eikmeier & Kai Yu Wu."

"The Flash" airs Tuesdays at 8/7 c on CW.
