Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray reportedly reached out to Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly on Wednesday morning and expressed his desire to join the latter's team and make its offense better together with friend and quarterback Sam Bradford.

ESPN said Murray's action sparked interest from the team despite them signing former San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews. Reports revealed that Murray will be flying to Philadelphia to meet team officials and discuss the possibility of him joining the team.

According to NBC Sports, there will be no immediate decisions from Murray but it is highly possible that the visit to Philadelphia will happen.

But ESPN reported that the only hindrance in him signing with the Eagles would be the monetary gain, with Kelly announcing earlier that the "team will be financially prudent in their personnel decisions."

NJ.com discussed that Murray will be looking for a five-year contract worth $45 million with $23 million in guarantees. It added that it would be a surprising move for the Eagles if they will give Murray that money considering that they sent LeSean McCoy to the Buffalo Bills because he is set to hit the $11.9 million salary cap next season.

"Did we want to lose LeSean? Certainly not. Really the biggest factor with LeSean, it was LeSean and the money," Kelly was quoted by NJ as saying.

But, according to NJ.com, Murray's number could surely be worth the amount he will be asking for as he made 1,845 yards and 13 touchdowns last season. He is also known to be a very efficient player and a hard worker on the team with him carrying the ball 609 times for the past two seasons.

When he discussed matters with Kelly, Murray reportedly described Bradford as one of his best friends. It can be remembered that the two worked together in Oklahoma from 2007 to 2009.

"Absolutely. I've been trying my hardest. I've called him. I've texted him. I've done everything. We've been in communication. If we can somehow land him, it would be a great pickup. Not only is he a great player, he's a great person. He's a really close friend of mine, too. I think he can really help this ball club," Bradford told ESPN when asked about his efforts to recruit Murray.

The Cowboys running back is a target for many teams in the NFL since he is known to be a great offensive player having won last year's rushing title. There are reports that the Cowboys are still interested in re-signing Murray even if he becomes a free agent.

Aside from his current team and the Eagles, NBC Sports said the Oakland Raiders and the Jacksonville Jaguars are also interested in getting Murray.
