Following the HTC One M9's unwrapping at the Mobile World Congress, HTC has started to send invites for a China-based conference dated "2015.3.11 - 3.17," GSMArena reports.

The outlet is convinced that the HTC One M9 Plus and HTC One E9 are two of the most likely candidates to launch at the event.

BGR notes that based on a pair of leaked photos, the HTC One M9 Plus is said to have a 5.2-inch QHD display, 2.0 GHz octa-core MediaTek or Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage and a fingerprint scanner.

The smartphone's processor is believed to be dependent on location. GSMArena says HTC One M9's Chinese market version could pack the MediaTek MT6795 chipset described as the "New 64-bit LTE True Octa-coreTM SoC with World's first 2K support," per the company's press release.

In addition,  Fudzilla claims that the HTC One M9 Plus (HIMA_ULTRA) is the successor of HTC One Max. The outlet adds that the device will own the similar 2560 x 1440 resolution, dual 20.7 MP main camera and 13 MP front snapper.

The device is also pegged to sport BoomSound, Bluetooth 4.1 and a 2840 mAh battery cell.

HTC One E9 Rumors

Recent reports have suggested that the HTC One E9, on the other hand, appears thinner and lighter than the standard HTC One M9.

As told by CNET, TENAA's post indicates that the handset will pack a 5.5-inch screen and a 2800 mAh battery. Details on measurement show 156.5 × 76.5 x 7.54 mm (6.1 x 3 x 0.3 inches).

The source also cited earlier leaks, which have claimed other notable specs. These include a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, 20 MP main camera, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage and a MediaTek MT6795 octacore processor running at 2.0GHz.

Interestingly, the reported leak claims that the HTC One E9 is set to release this month. Will it show up in the upcoming HTC event in China?

With Lollipop rolling out to its target devices, it may be safe to expect the latest of its versions running on the HTC One M9 Plus and HTC One E9.

Fudzilla says the HTC One M9 Plus is roughly expected at $638. The One E9, on the other hand, is hinted to sell for $320, GSMArena writes.

Which of HTC's supposed handsets would you like to see in the coming days?
