Despite rumors that UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva will already admit his use of performance-enhancing drugs for therapy, the MMA fighter again denied claims that he used steroids prior to his fight with Nick Diaz.

In an exclusive interview with TMZ, Silva said he was shocked with the results of his two failed drug tests.

"I am surprised. My manager call me and say Anderson, you have the problem because you go to the test for the commission, it's bad," Silva said.

Asked how he would explain how he tested positive for two anabolic steroids, Silva only replied with "I don't know what happened."

TMZ said that the UFC champ is "completely blindsided by the results" adding that nothing in his system affects the way he fights inside the Octagon.

"I think this is bad for [the] sport. This is so bad for me and my life," Silva commented on the issue surrounding his positive drug test.

A similar MMA Weekly report said that Silva has indicated that all the supplements he took during training and prior to the fight are now being tested, noting that the treatment for leg injury may be the suspect for his positive drug tests.

"Yeah. But I don't think so. I need to check for old supplement I used. Because, I never fought the commission in this sport. I'm very happy because the commission help me, I help commission. I go to work together [with] the commission. I never use nothing for change my performance in the fight," he added.

He is set to meet with the Nevada Athletic Commission for a hearing but the date has not yet been finalized. Silva is expected to tell his side of the story for the commission to properly decide on the matter then they will determine if the UFC fighter will be sanctioned or not but MMA Weekly explained that it's unlikely that Silva will be able to continue fighting without being penalized for testing positive for steroids.

Even if the commission has not yet decided on the matter, Silva has already expressed his willingness to have a rematch with Diaz to prove that it was a clear win.

"When commission say done, I go back to fight. I think have the rematch for Nick. I expect the commission now, when all this done, I go fight Nick for next one," Silva added.

It can be remembered that after his fight with Diaz, Silva tested positive for Drostanolone and Androstane which are both banned anabolic steroids in an out-of-competition drug screening conducted last Jan. 9. He again tested positive for Drostanolone in a fight night drug test. Silva is currently under temporary suspension while the commission investigates the case.
