What is a gadget nowadays without a screenshot feature? Even cellphones have them, considering how today's generation is addicted to recording every single aspect of their lives.

Just recently, Microsoft jumped on the bandwagon with their Xbox One.

According to Inquistr, although Xbox one owners were able to enjoy recording their games since its launch in 2013, the screenshot feature is among the most requested and Xbox head Phil Spencer hinted via Twitter that it may be coming sooner than expected.

The image that Spencer shared showed the screenshot feature being similar to the "Record That" feature. To get a screenshot of the game on-screen, console owners will have to double tap the guide bottom on the controller and bring up the quick menu. The "Y" button will then take the screenshot.

Cool.

However, this is not the first console to be capable of the screenshot functionality. Playstation 4 owners have enjoyed the feature since the launch of the console, so Microsoft is really just catching up. According to EuroGamer, this functionality is expected to arrive during one of the firmware updates that will come in the next few months.

For February, though, Game Informer reported that the Xbox One update includes party chat and implementation of game hubs. Who knows, the screenshot feature could come by March or April. As for the Kinect, there is no news yet on whether or not a voice command will work as a screenshot feature as well.

In other Xbox One news, according to Game Spot, the Xbox One with Kinect is available for only $450 in retailers in the US, including Amazon, Best Buy, Game Stop, Target, Toys R Us, and Walmart. This promo will last only until February 21.

A year of Xbox Live Gold is also available on Amazon. Gold members are privy to freebies and discounted prices that is heaven for gamers. A bunch of games, including "Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor" and "Grand Theft Auto V" are available with neat deals, so you can definitely take advantage of the Live Gold membership, even for just a year.

This month, for instance, Gold members get free #IDARB, while Xbox 360 owners can enjoy free "Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons" from February 1-15, and "Sniper Elite V2" from February 16-28.

What do you think of the latest news from Microsoft consoles, are you excited for the screenshot feature that the company is doling out for Xbox One soon?
