Three-point veteran and Golden State Warriors' point guard Stephen Curry experienced a surprising loss to a 10-year-old female challenger, who was the only player who beat him among the series of challengers who lined up to prepare Curry for his NBA Three-Point Shootout.

Jaden Newman, a young varsity player, proved to one of the top shooters of the NBA that he has competition in a small little girl who is 16 years younger than him.

The video, according to Huffington Post, was part of a Footlocker campaign where individuals challenged Curry to a three-point shooting competition.

When it was Newman's chance to shoot the balls, she first handed a paper to Curry asking him to sign it. Curry read its content aloud: "Please excuse Jaden Newman from class today. She's beating Stephen Curry in a three-point competition."

And beat Curry she did. Newman shot 16 baskets while Curry only had 15. The Warriors star congratulated and hugged the young shooting phenomenon at the end of the clip.

Meanwhile, Curry's other challengers are Robert Horry, Tim Legler, his dad Dell and Kenny Mayne. The Warriors player dominated all of them as expected, but not Newman.

Curry also seemed shocked with the young girl's mad basketball skills that she was able to beat him by a point on the three-point line.

At her young age, Newman is already playing for the girls varsity team of the Downey Christian School in Orlando, Florida as a starting point guard and Huffington Post said she received a recruiting package from the University of Miami last year.

Her father, Jamie, shared that Newman wants to be like Phoenix Mercury guard Diana Taurasi.  "She wants to play for her country, for Connecticut and in the WNBA," he added.

A Fox Sports article on Newman revealed that she is averaging double digits in basketball games against teenagers and that she even scored 63 against a boys team.

Aside from looking up to Taurasi, Fox Sports said that Newman could be following the likes of Los Angeles Sparks' Candace Parker as they may have the same type of gameplay strategy on the court. The same report said that the two also have another similarity since they both have older brothers who are also basketball prodigies. Parker's brother, Anthony, is a retired professional basketball player while Newman's sibling, Julian, has received the attention of the media because of his ball skills.

According to Heavy, Julian, an 11-year-old high school student is the star point guard of his team and has been playing basketball since his early age of three. He appeared on Conan O'Brien's show where it was highlighted that he plays against ballers who are three to four years older than him. He looks up to Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant.
