Last year, Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 was launched alongside the iconic Galaxy Note Edge. While it's safe to say that the device has been out for only a few months, rumors surrounding its sequel have already surfaced, and they all seem to speak the same thing: big upgrades.

Before we get into specs, remember that the Galaxy Note line was known for establishing first impressions in the Berlin-based IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung). As told by Trusted Reviews, the Mobile World Congress is that time of the year for the Galaxy S-line, which means that a Sept. 2015 launch for the upcoming Note 5 could be possible.

In our previous report, Android Origin claimed that the Galaxy Note 5 will be a primary competitor to Apple's likewise-rumored iPhone 7. But of course, the Cupertino giant has not confirmed such product, and there has also been rampant speculation geared at the iPhone 6s. We expect that who-rivals-who would depend on the devices' official release dates.

For Trusted Reviews, the Galaxy Note 5 will meet its battle with the already-existing iPhone 6 Plus.

At present, Android Headlines took note of a Galaxy Note 5 concept (click to see) that has popped online.

It looks more like a Galaxy Note Edge render. The handset showcased that familiar curve -- on both sides! This reminds us of earlier talks surrounding the Galaxy S6 Edge, which spoke of a dual-edged display that's also reminiscent of the Note Edge.

The cited concept also brought specs, which include a 5.9-inch 4K display, 4 GB of RAM, 19 MP main camera, 4.7 MP front snapper, 3,700mAh battery and an octa-core processor clocked at 3.2GHz. Two storage versions were noted, one that comes at 32 GB, and another at 64 GB. Memory can be expanded up to 128GB (microSD).

Apparently, the render's specs are close to what rumors have told earlier. In November, GSMArena cited Phone Arena's tip, which suggested that the Galaxy Note 5 is the first to boast Samsung's 4K AMOLED screen. The screen was said to be 6 inches (diagonally), housing 743ppi.

Citing other reports, the outlet added that the device might come with an Exynos 7420 chipset, which would have four Cortex-A57 cores and four Cortex-A53.

ValueWalk expects the devices to release in a much earlier date, being August 2015. When it comes to pricing, Android Headlines wrote that the smartphone will retail, reportedly, for $942.
