Iman Shumpert is one of the biggest names on the trade market in the past few weeks and the constant trade talks involving him is affecting the third-year guard, according to New York Knicks great Walt Frazier.

In an interview with Marc Berman of New York Post, Frazier said that Shumpert is starting to lose his confidence and is not having fun playing with the team anymore allegedly because of the trade rumors about him.

"He's always been a very confident guy," Frazier said. "I think he just has to find his role. Sometimes he doesn't look like he's happy out here. Maybe that's because he heard the rumors he's being traded. But he's very stern in his face. It doesn't look like he's having fun."

Shumpert averaged 12.3 points and 4.5 assists in his first four games this season, but his production dropped to 5.9 points in their last seven games.

In their 103-96 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday, the former Georgia Tech standout finished with just four points on 1-for-6 shooting from the field to go along with four rebounds and two assists.

Frazier knows that Shumpert is one of the best trade assets for the Knicks, but he is still hoping that the 23-year-old guard will get back on track and have a breakout year this season.

"You look at team, he's a valuable asset," Frazier said. "One of the few guys they can trade. Not surprised by that. It has to be a breakout year for him. He was there as a rookie. The injury set him back, but he came back strong last year. This has to be the year he shows something," Frazier said.

Shumpert, who was the 17th overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft, averaged 9.5 and 3.2 rebounds in his rookie season that was cut short by an ACL injury. He came back in the second half of last season and averaged 6.8 points and 3.0 rebounds in 45 games.
