Eva Longoria experienced a severe wardrobe malfunction at the "Jimmy P.: Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian" premiere in Cannes this week.

The actress' dress dragged when she made her ascent to the red carpet in what was a very rainy day. Eva's seafoam green Atelier Versace gown featured an open back and a very high slit, two very common features in Longoria's long gown attires.

As Longoria walked across the red carpet stairs she lifted her skirt to avoid the rain a bit more than she initially intended and exposed much more than she wanted to. Longoria was horrified as she realized the incident was caught on camera.

Jimmy P is a French-American drama piece about a soldier's post-WW2 therapy sessions and stars Longoria's friend Benicio Del Toro. Longoria herself is currently shooting the action drama "Frontera" alongside Ed Harris and rising star Michael Peña.

And this isn't the first time Longoria suffered a wardrobe malfunction. She had a very similar incident recently at last year's Golden Globe awards. Some commentators suggested that it might be time for Longoria to forgo the high slit dress fashion altogether.

Longoria was not the only actress to suffer from a wardrobe malfunction at the French festival. Another Latina, Rosario Dawson experienced a similar problem when walking up the stairs as she accidentally flashed her underwear.

The actress let out a small shriek when she became aware of the incident and quickly pulled the fabric to cover up and was smiling just seconds after the whole thing, taking the episode in stride and amusement.

Dawson was there to attend the premiere of the much anticipated film "As I Lay Dying" which is based on the William Faulkner novel of the same name, starring James Franco and Logan-Marshall Green in the lead roles. Dawson has kept a busy scheduled this year, juggling production schedules for several projects, including the follow-up to 2005's "Sin City."

There has been a strong Latin presence at Cannes this year. Films from Mexican director Amat Escalante and from legendary surrealist director Alejandro Jodorowsky were both premiered at the festival.
