Freddie Roach believed Manny Pacquiao's next opponent, Brandon Rios, is nothing but a pretender and even predicted his prized fighter will score a second-round knockout win over Rios on Saturday at Venetian Macao in Macau, China.

In an interview with Seconds Out reporter Radio Rahim, Roach talked about Pacquiao's upcoming rumble with Rios, and his fighter's chance of pulling off a sensational wins against the Californian brawler.

"I absolutely think this kid is nothing but a pretender," Roach told Rahim. "I am not impressed, we are not scared of him. He has a very good chance with a pretty good punch, but at 147, he never has the speed and power to do it."

Roach said Pacquiao has been amazing in his training camp, perhaps the best ever in his career. The former eight-division world champion is gunning for a knockout win, probably as early as the second round.

Potential Fight With Floyd Mayweather

Roach said the long overdue showdown with Pacquiao and Mayweather remains a possibility, given that there hasn't too many Pay-Per-View fighters available in the business.

Floyd has four fights remaining in his contract. You tell me four guys he can fight and draw pay-per-view money. Roach said. 'There's not too many out there.

Roach said Miguel Cotto and Saul Alvarez are legitimate PPV guys, while he believes Amir Khan, who is being pitted as the next opponent for Mayweather, is not a big draw.

Mayweather Jr Legs are Shot

If Pacquiao eventually fights Mayweather, Roach believes Pacquiao has a chance to win the fight in spectacular fashion because Mayweather hasn't been moving as quick as he used to be.

The legendary trainer thinks Mayweather's legs are already shot, and Pacquiao can easily catch him along the ropes if they engage in a toe-to-toe confrontation. Roach added that Mayweather has the advantage in speed, but doesn't have the power to send Pacquiao to the canvass.

Pacquiao and Rios will duke it out for the vacant WBO International Welterweight Championship.
