In a fearless forecast, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger unequivocally said that Thierry Henry will one day find his way back to his team.

Even though Wenger did not put a date or predict the circumstances, he said Arsenal's all-time leading goal-scorer will be back, simply because he is "an Arsenal man," reported The Independent.

"Certainly one day he will come back ... As for what role, I don't know... I made him start at 17, today he's 37. That's 20 years of competitive football," said Wenger in a press conference before Arsenal faces Southampton, per Sky Sports.

Even though the player might already have his sights on retirement from soccer after leaving the New York Red Bulls on Monday, Wenger said the man they have erected a statue for will be back with the team with which he experienced the best moments of his career.

"I understand that he wants to reflect for a while on how he wants to go in his life," Wenger said of the 37-year-old, who he thinks will also make a good coach, per The Independent. "He has all the qualities because he is intelligent, committed, he loves the game."

According to Sky Sports, the French soccer athlete had been linked to coaching roles. He was once rumored to join former teammate Willy Sagnol at Bordeaux.

Meanwhile, the Gunners might be mulling a multimillion payment deal for one player, the Bleacher Report said, alluding to Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani.

An Express report noted that the Uruguayan was not happy with Ligue 1 and would like to find a spot in London even as Manchester United has shown strong interest. It would be a case of the right thing at the right time, since "Arsenal's transfer priorities in January remain a defensive midfielder and another defender, but a striker could be on the agenda over the summer," Express wrote.

"The Parisians have yet to see the best of the former Napoli man, and it is perhaps understandable that he has become frustrated," the Bleacher Report noted. Cavani would be a perfect fit for Wenger's style, the report added, also noting that he is better than Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck at scoring.

In January, the likely addition would be 27-year-old Sebastian Giovinco.

With Giovinco's Juventus contract set to expire at season's end, he is a likely target for Premier League teams, said The Sports Review.

The report said he struggled to impress new manager Massimiliano Allegri, and agent Andrea D'Amico doubted he would last until the season winds down, per Sky Sport Italia.

"Giovinco is a sharp, skilful forward who is capable of playing across the front line, and if Arsenal were keen on his signature, they could potentially pick him up for a cut-price premium in January," explained the Bleacher Report.
