After getting called a "hack golfer" by NBA legend Michael Jordan, U.S. President Barack Obama responded to the comment, saying that the basketball superstar may not have been "well informed" that he had just recently defeated Alonzo Mourning in a friendly match.

In an interview with Wisconsin-based radio station WJMR, the U.S. President explained that he and sportscaster, Ahmad Rashad, defeated Mourning in a recent friendly golf match.

"But there is no doubt that Michael is a better golfer than I am. Of course if I was playing twice a day for the last 15 years, then that might not be the case," he added.

The response of the President was directed to a recent Back9Network interview of Jordan where he said that he'll take out Obama because "he's a hack."

"Man, I'd be all day playing with him," Jordan added during the interview.

Rashad, who was interviewing him, asked the NBA legend if he really wanted to call the President of the United States a "hack." This question solicited an even harsher response from Jordan.

"Don't worry about it. I never said he's wasn't a great politician, I just said he's a s***** golfer," he responded with a grin.

During the radio interview, Obama admitted that he has never played golf with Jordan though they know each other. "I think he might've just been trying to give Ahmad an extra ratings boost on his show," the President said of Jordan's comments.

He also advised the NBA star to focus on his priorities - like the two basketball teams he owns -- rather than making unsolicited comments on television.

"He might want to spend more time thinking about the Bobcats - or the Hornets," Obama added.

Fox Sports said in an article that the President has been previously criticized on how he plays golf and that Jordan's remarks were not the most painful.

In a commentary posted on perezhilton.com, it was discussed that though Jordan is one of the greatest basketball players who ever lived, he still needs to watch his words when talking about the U.S. President "especially when it's about his golf game."

The report also said that they are expecting a response again from Jordan since he is not the type of person who takes things lying known. He is known to be a person who has engaged in trash talks in the past. But wherever this exchange of words will end up, Jordan fans and supporters of the President would just wish that they will put an end to this especially since they are two of the most respectable people in the country.
