With five teaser clips released ahead of the premiere, "Dumb and Dumber To" is certainly all set for its premiere on November 14.

The much awaited sequel brings back the hilarious duo of Jim Carrey as Lloyd Christmas and Jeff Daniels as Harry Dunne, with their first hit movie seen on the big screen about 20 years ago.

The plot revolves around the duo setting out on a journey to reunite Harry with his biological daughter.

According to Screenrant, the five short clips released show the pacing of the movie's comedic style, which is similar to that of the typical funny movies in the 90s era. It may have an initial impression of being "sluggish," but the clips, each being short than the usual trailers, are enough to excite fans.

The site also mentioned how Carrey and Daniels' team up can surely bring life again to the sequel. "That pair ought to do their part to bring the necessary funny and heart to this sequel; the bigger question is whether they Farrellys and their co-writers can do likewise, since their ability to be raunchy is one thing that has never been in doubt about the Farrellys," Screenrant commented.

Joblo added that "even if you are a comedy snob or look down on jokes like these, I defy you not to crack even a tiny smile when you watch these. DUMB AND DUMBER TO is going to be dumb, really dumb."

Clever promotion

One of the movie's most popular marketing strategies is when "Dumb and Dumber To" came up with its own version of the "Lucy" movie poster which stars Scarlett Johansson. They rephrased the film's tagline to make it more fitting for the foolish theme of "Dumb and Dumber To."

The parody posters stated, "The average person uses 10% of their brain capacity. Imagine what he could do with 1%."

Despite some setbacks, the sequel still received positive reactions from fans, Franchise Herald noted. Carrey's comeback and Daniels' return, far from his dramatic role in "The Newsroom" by HBO seem to be a promising scenario.

"Dumb and Dumber To" also stars Rob Riggle, Laurie Holden along with the much awaited comeback of Hollywood veteran actress Kathleen Turner.
